Reading Pumping Station

This explore was an unexpected bonus to a day back in January 2020. A exploring acquaintance and I explored a pretty run down and trashed site just opposite from this place. I initally thought it was totally sealed but I went up to the door on the off chance it would be unlocked and it was open. Inside was a chap making ambience recordings – I learnt some pretty interesting things from him!

The Explore:

Basically, it was just two rooms. The pump room and then the site of the boiler house. This was a Victorian water pumping station. The blue painted pumps were still in situ which was really quite nice. Enjoy the photos of this little gem.
