Liverpool Deaf Church
June 2020 | England | Extant
Not much remains of the original fittings of this place and water ingress is very evident. This church was built to cater for the deaf community in the 19th century. It closed down a number of years ago and has been left derelict since and is largely occupied by pigeons and homeless people. The Neo-Gothic structure has serious water damage and pigeon infestations. It’s a shame as it would have been a stunning building had the pigeons not left a metric gigaton of excrement everywhere!! I didn’t take very many photos as my camera lens wasn’t coping well with the low light levels (and at the time I hadn’t yet properly grasped how to take long exposures) and also as the site was so severely trashed.
